Waters

I grew up fishing smaller streams in Serbia (former Yugoslavia). After moving to Boston to study in 1991, I became a dedicated SWFF addict. I moved to the Midwest in 2003, and now mostly fish limestone creeks of the Driftless area.

You are obviously a gifted person. Your site is the first place I have seen umbrella style patterns, where do you source your woodcock? Thanks for all the future reading material you quoted, I am having fun tracking down the books you've listed. Thanks so mush for sharing your talents.

Thank you Persaud... I purchased some very nice soft hackled materials, including woodcock wings, from Blue Ribbon Flies. They seem to have quite extensive collection of materials for soft hackled flies, and ship very quickly.

    Thanks again,

    Wow Vlad,

It must be a magic moment! Although I am not a big fan of multiple flies either.
I will test drive this a little whrn I hit a trout water next time. just for my curiosity about the behavior.
    thanks again!

    Mark,

Imagine a long wet glass switch blank, something like "soft hackle special" or "wet magic wand"... I know I am dreaming, but super light 3/4/5wt built like a switch for multiple fly casts and superb line control... that would be something! Also, I can totally see why some people get addicted to the wet style. I mean, trout hit those little wets so hard, it is just shocking.

I am hoping to do little warmwater fishing this weekend, and I am really looking forward to it...

    Have a nice weekend!

Thank you Mark! You know, I am not a big fun of multiple flies and droppers, because they are PITA for casting....easy tangles, etc. I was really shocked yesterday when I saw how dangerous they are for trout. No wonder, old timers knew what works so well.
